MTV Teen Wolf MTV’s highest rated new series

Teen Wolf is an American television series that currently airs on MTV, and in reruns on TeenNick. The series premiered on June 5, 2011, following the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.Teen Wolf is a supernatural drama series that follows Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a high school student and social outcast who is bitten by a werewolf while wandering in the woods. Scott attempts to maintain a normal life, keeping the fact of his being a werewolf secret from everyone, with the exception of his best friend Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien), who helps him through the changes in his life and body, and another mysterious werewolf, Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin).
Proving once more that tapping into established franchises can afford a new series the leg up on the competition needed to succeed, MTV has announced they will continue with their modernized take on Teen Wolf by renewing the successful series for a second season.
The series has indeed performed well for the network. It’s currently MTV’s highest rated new series of 2010 and 2011, attracting an average of about 1.7 million total viewers to its weekly new episodes airing on Monday nights.
The decision to bring back Teen Wolf seems to fall in line with all of the other re-makes that Hollywood has been falling victim to, and seems like another step towards re-creating every successful movie from the 1980's. Is Top Gun next?

Had they set the remake label aside, perhaps I’d be more forgiving and be able to view the show as a standalone series — one that by the looks of it is a little Twilight, a little Vampire Diaries, and very much not my cup of tea. I’ll give it a chance, though. I hopped on the TVD train a little late because I was afraid it was like Twilight.

Film Star Rami Reddy passes away

Film actor Rami Reddy, known for playing the role of a villain in Telugu and Hindi films, passed away in Hyderabad on Thursday. Rami Reddy became popular with his role in Ankusam. He acted in as many as 250 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam and Bhojpuri. The final rites would be carried out at Punjagutta crematorium in Hyderabad Thursday evening. Reddy, who was undergoing treatment for the past couple of weeks, died at a private hospital in Secunderabad at around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning. He is survived by two daughters and a son. The final rites would be conducted at Punjagutta crematorium here this evening. Hailing from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, Reddy started his career as a journalist before entering the film industry. Rami Reddy became popular with his role in Ankusam.
