Jerry Lewis Comedy icon ill in Australia

The American comedian had to cancel a sell out Sydney tour after collapsing from exhaustion as he prepared to take the stage on June 25. Legendary comic actor and philanthropist Jerry Lewis was too sick to perform a sold-out charity concert in Sydney, Australia on Friday.  Lewis had arrived at Rooty Hill RSL to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of Australia, but never got to the stage. Foundation CEO David Jack apologized in a statement, saying the 85-year-old was "not well enough to take the stage." It didn't give details. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lewis of Big Spring; son Ian Scott of California; stepson Tim Lewis of Big Spring; stepdaughter Barbara Black of Abilene;  and one brother.
