A 47-year-old San Rafael man was behind bars Sunday after police said he threatened the life of U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer in a series of voice-mail messages. O'Connell allegedly threatened Boxer in a voicemail he left at her San Francisco office last week. He was arrested on Saturday.
