carlos zambrano,Cubs have done after 30 days

The Chicago Cubs have finally done something smart by putting Carlos Zambrano on the disqualified list.  The move means Zambrano will receive no pay and he wont take part in team activities for 30 days. As some of you know, I was up fairly late Friday night, but wanted to leave this be until morning, to see if I felt any different about it. But I don't, and the truth is that I don't really even know what to say about Carlos Zambrano any more.
Carlos Alberto Zambrano (Big Z or El Toro)
Position: Pitcher
Bats: Both, Throws: Right
Height: 6' 5", Weight: 270 lb.

When he's had his past meltdowns, I've said his behavior was "indefensible" and the Cubs should trade him immediately (June 2007), that his antics were "childish" and he needed to "grow up" (May 2009) and that he "had to go" after an "epic meltdown" (June 2010).
Carlos Alberto Zambrano (born June 1, 1981) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher with the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball. Zambrano, who stands 6' 5" and weighs 260 pounds, was signed by the Cubs as a free agent in 1997 and made his debut in 2001. After being used in both starting and relief duties, he enjoyed his first full season as a starter in 2003, finishing with a 13-11 record, 168 strikeouts and a 3.11 ERA.
The Chicago Cubs placed Carlos Zambrano on the disqualified list Saturday and said the right-hander would receive no pay and have no part in team activities for 30 days.
After Zambrano did not return to the team Saturday he was put on the disqualified list.

“This was the most stringent penalty we could enforce without a release,” Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said.

Hendry said Major League Baseball and the players’ association would discuss Zambrano’s statements about his baseball future.
Zambrano cleared out his locker on Friday after giving up five home runs and getting ejected for throwing at Chipper Jones during a 10-4 loss to the Atlanta Braves. It became a sideshow on a night where the Braves were trying to honor former manager Bobby Cox.
The Diamondbacks signed first baseman Lyle Overbay and placed first baseman Xavier Nady on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left hand. Overbay was released by Pittsburgh last week . . . The Pirates placed first baseman Derrek Lee on the 15-day DL with a broken bone in his left wrist . . . Yankees righthander Freddy Garcia was scratched from his scheduled start today against the Rays because of a cut on a finger sustained in a kitchen accident last week. A.J. Burnett will start in his place .

Bollywood Actress Sonakshi Angers Pakistani Fans

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha annoyed some of her fans from Pakistan when she tweeted a morphed picture of Shahid Afridi getting whacked by an Indian batsman just before the India-Pakistan semi final match on Wednesday. The actress added a caption as well: 'De ghumaaaaake! Hehehehahahaha.' But the Dabangg girl did not imagine that her little joke would irritate fans. Her fans started tweeting back, telling her to be a goodwill ambassador between the two countries and learn a few things from Salman Khan. Some of them even unfollowed her on twitter. Sonakshi soon realised the intensity of her tweet and calmed her fans down by asking them to be a sport, and that she was just joking. She then deleted the picture from her twitter account. 'Pak fans very upset. jung ke maidan mein ladne se toh accha hi hai khel ke maidan mein ladein! I am all for love thy neighbour. Be a sport yaar,' she tweeted.
