David Wu announced on Tuesday that he will resign from Congress, the week after a report came out that he was accused of unwanted sexual conduct with the teenage daughter of a campaign donor.The resignation announcement came in the wake of a report last week that the teenage daughter of a longtime friend and campaign donor called the congressman's office earlier this year to accuse him of an unwanted sexual encounter over Thanksgiving.more information about the David Wu that  The Oregonian reported Friday that Wu had been accused of an unwanted sexual encounter with the 18-year-old daughter of a childhood friend. I cannot care for my family the way I wish while serving in Congress and fighting these very serious allegations,” Wu, D-Oregon, said in a statement. “The wellbeing of my children must come before anything else. With great sadness, I therefore intend to resign effective upon the resolution of the debt-ceiling crisis.”
