Coheed and Cambria is an American rock band from Nyack, New York. Formed in 1995, the group incorporates aspects of progressive rock, punk rock, metal and post-hardcore.
All of Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums that reveal a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a story written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez, which has been transcribed into a series of comic books,as well as a full length novel. The band has released five studio albums,

According to police in Attleboro, MA ... Todd showed a pharmacist a cell phone note that said he had a bomb and wanted pills. He made off with six bottles of pain pills, reports the Attleboro Sun Chronicle, and fled via taxi.
Michael Todd, bassist for neo-prog rockers Coheedand Cambria, was arrested for armed robbery in Massachusetts over the weekend. Before the band was scheduled to open for Soundgarden, Todd allegedly used a bomb threat to steal six bottles of Oxycontin from a Walgreens pharmacy.
The band’s name derives from a series science fiction comics written by frontman Claudio Sanchez titled The Amory Wars. Coheed and Cambria are the first names of the story’s two heroes, whose story is used as a narrative for each of the group’s albums. They chose the name during a 1998 trip to Paris.
The police said the bassist, Mike Todd, entered the Walgreens pharmacy in Attleboro, Mass., on Sunday afternoon and showed the pharmacists a note on his telephone claiming he had a bomb. Mr. Todd, who is 30, was said to have demanded six bottles of OxyContin and then caught a cab to the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Mass., where his band was to play the opening set before Soundgarden took the stage.
Todd was taken into custody after the show, and Coheed & Cambria have already found a replacement bassist to complete their tour. Todd had previously taken a leave of absence from the band, from November 2006 to April 2007, to address a heroin addiction.
