Chick-fil-A is bidding customers to don black-spotted scarves, hats, ties or any other accessories today for its 7th annual Cow Appreciation Day. In return, customers will receive a complimentary meal featuring an entree of their choice, a side item and a medium beverage.

The day is a great way to usher in the weekend.

You might think that only the most dedicated fan would go that far for a free sandwich, but last year they served more than 450,000 “cow-clad customers,” and they expect to top that this year.

If you haven’t heard yet, Chick-Fil-A, the popular and extremely tasty fast-food chain restaurant is handing out free meals for the remainder of Friday with one small catch – You have to dress up as a bovine in honor of Cow Appreciation Day.

While partial costumes – Cow hats, a cow nose, etc – will earn you a free entree of your choice, those brave enough to hoof it into the establishment in a head-to-toe cow costume will receive an entire free meal.

According to the fast-food restaurant Chick-fil-A, today is Cow Appreciation Day. Coming from a restaurant chain that supports the slaughter of animals, this may seem ironic at first. But Chick-fil-A has long advertised that consumers should "Eat More Chikin."

Singer Chitra Daughter Nandana passed away
