Brian Wilson is a Best Fighter in Play Ground

Brian Douglas Wilson (born June 20, 1942) is an American musician, best known as the leader and chief songwriter of the group The Beach Boys. Within the band, Wilson played bass and keyboards, also providing part-time lead vocals and, more often, backing vocals, harmonizing in falsetto with the group.
Brian Wilson struggled into the break, but he was just at his colorful, quotable best for the MLB Network’s red-carpet show.

When co-host Harold Reynolds asked the Giants closer about the origins of his beard, Wilson said: “I believe we’re at the one-year anniversary of the child on my face.”Heavily bearded Giants pitcher Brian Wilson, who earlier this year had the honor of fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a NYT crossword clue, knows his way around the S.F. food scene as well as he does around a Will Shortz puzzle. Last night on the MLB Network, during the All-Star Game, he chatted with hosts Chris Rose and Kevin Millar about a recent dinner he treated them to at Gary Danko. He's a pretty awesome hitter," Wilson said after notching the save as the National League beat the American League, 5-1, on Tuesday night at Chase Field. "I have no qualms about it. Come on over. I don't want to be the guy that's traded, though. OK? Let's make sure that doesn't happen."

Beltran, along with Mets teammate Jose Reyes, had accompanied the Giants contingent from San Francisco to Arizona after the teams completed the first half with a series.Giants All-Star closer Brian Wilson has some San Francisco restaurant suggestions: “Just a small little place called Gary Danko. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a 14-star restaurant. It’s got everything that you could possibly want. The lobster risotto. If there was another word for excellent…” [MLB]
Speaking of celebrity reviewers, here’s Willie Brown‘s take on Bluestem Brasserie: “The food is great, and so is the view over Market Street. The tab will probably run about $75 a person, including wine, which isn’t bad for that part of town

ellie goulding singing at the Royal Wedding

In a recent interview to Standard Magazine singer Ellie Goulding talks about her encounter to the royal couple and how they invited her to sing at their wedding. The forces aligned neatly in May for this episode: Osama bin Laden's death had been announced five days earlier; the show started strong with Fred Armisen as bin Laden and later had Jason Sudeikis as Satan, I've had my real rock'n'roll phase and I don't want to go back to it because I wasn't in a good place then.  I didn't realise where I was heading. josh hamilton died,,,when he was trying to catch a foul ball

A tragic accident occurred Thursday in Arlington, Texas, where the Texas Rangers were playing the Oakland Athletics, when a 39-year-old fan fell to his death after trying to catch a foul ball thrown by Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton. Oh how things have changed in a single year for LeBron James. It's been 365 days since the infamous "Decision" and I'm not sure that time has heeled this particular wound. Still, in the grand scheme of things, you'd have to say James, the Heat, and the NBA don't regret "the Decision"...ESPN might. In one year, the Heat came within a few games of a championship, James shook off some of his critics (at least through the Eastern Conference Finals), and the NBA Finals received tremendous ratings. night died after Josh Hamilton tossed a foul ball to him in the second inning. Shannon Stone, a Brownwood, Texas, firefighter attending the game with his young son, was along the left field outfield wall and fell throu...
